NORTH SHORE REAL ESTATE UPDATE MARCH 2008


In West Vancouver, there were 62 homes sold in March 2008 compared to 72 homes sold in March 2007 and 56 homes sold in February 2008.  The year to date average price for West Vancouver in March 2008 ($1,893,992) has increased 17% compared to March 2007 ($1,605,552).  The inventory of homes for sale in West Vancouver has increased by 51% compared to March 2007.  The median price in March 2008 for a West Vancouver house increased to $1,615,000 from $1,570,000 in February 2008. 

 

In North Vancouver, there were 108 homes sold in March 2008 compared to 120 homes sold in March 2007 and 81 homes sold in February 2008.  The inventory of homes for sale in North Vancouver has increased by 28% compared to March 2007.  The year to date average price for North Vancouver in March 2008 ($1,027,852) increased 23% compared to March 2007 ($835,533).  The median price for a North Vancouver house increased from $785,000 in March 2007 to $907,000 in March 2008.
