NORTH SHORE REAL ESTATE UPDATE FEBRUARY 2008

 

In West Vancouver, there were 56 homes sold in February 2008 compared to 48 homes sold in February 2007 and 42 homes sold in January 2008.  The year to date average price for West Vancouver in February 2008 ($1,767,223) increased 21% compared to February 2007 ($1,454,185).  The inventory of homes for sale in West Vancouver has increased by 44% compared to February 2007.  The median price in February 2008 for a West Vancouver house increased to $1,570,000 from $1,415,000 in January 2008. 

 

In North Vancouver, there were 81 homes sold in February 2008 compared to 97 homes sold in February 2007 and 46 homes sold in January 2008.  The inventory of homes for sale in North Vancouver has increased by 12% compared to February 2007.  The year to date average price for North Vancouver in February 2008 ($1,018,461) increased 23% compared to February 2007 ($823,740).  The median price for a North Vancouver house increased from $735,000 in February 2007 to $912,500 in February 2008.
