NORTH SHORE REAL ESTATE UPDATE OCTOBER 2007

In West Vancouver, there were 51 homes sold in October 2007 compared to 54 homes sold in September 2007 and 74 homes sold in October 2006.  The year to date average price for West Vancouver in October 2007 ($1,742,576) increased 13% compared to October 2006 ($1,540,526).  The inventory of homes for sale in West Vancouver has decreased by 7% compared to October 2006.  The median price in October for a West Vancouver house decreased to $1,560,000 from $1,665,000 in September 2007.  The sales to listings ratio was at 43%. 

In North Vancouver, there were 83 homes sold in October 2007 compared to 103 homes sold in October 2006.  The sales to listings ratio for October was 69%.  The inventory of homes for sale in North Vancouver has decreased by 28% compared to October 2006.  The year to date average price for North Vancouver in October 2007 ($872,321) increased 11% compared to October 2006 ($780,994).  The median price for a North Vancouver house decreased from $827,500 in September 2007 to $799,000 in October 2007.
